Nutrition That Works as Hard as You Do

Training gets you in the room. Nutrition is what makes everything in that room actually

work.

Whether you’re here to feel better, move better, or work toward a personal record — what you eat either supports that goal or slows it down. That’s why we didn’t just add a nutrition service. We built it into the team.

Meet the Other Half of Your Team

Our nutrition services are led by a Registered Dietitian (RD) — a licensed healthcare professional trained to apply nutrition at a clinical level.

That credential means your RD can:

  • Work with medical conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol, gut issues, and hormonal imbalances
  • Interpret your health history and labs in the context of what you eat
  • Coordinate with your doctor or other healthcare providers when needed
  • Provide a depth of nutrition support that goes beyond general wellness advice

Most training companies can’t say they have a Registered Dietitian on the team. We can — and it changes what’s possible for every client we work with

Training and Nutrition, Working Together

When your trainer and your dietitian are on the same team, your results stop being fragmented.

Your training program is built around your goals. Your nutrition plan is built around the same goals — and around each other. No conflicting advice, no filling gaps with guesswork. Just two experts working in the same direction.

Whether you’re in the middle of a training block, recovering from injury, managing a health condition, or just trying to figure out what to eat — you have the right person in your corner.

Built for Your Life, Not a Template

There’s no single plan that works for everyone. Your nutrition plan is built around:

  • Your goals — performance, body composition, energy, long-term health
  • Your lifestyle — schedule, food preferences, social life, travel
  • Your history — medical background, relationship with food, what’s worked and what hasn’t
  • Your training — how you’re moving, how hard, and what your body needs to keep up

What to Expect

Your first appointment is a dedicated one-on-one session — your RD takes the time

to understand the full picture before making any recommendations. You’ll leave with real direction and a plan that’s actually yours.

From there, you choose the path that fits:

One-time consultation — expert guidance, a clear starting point, and the tools to move forward confidently on your own.

Ongoing sessions — continued support and a plan that evolves as your training,

goals, and life change, including:

• Personalized nutrition strategies adjusted over time

• Accountability that keeps you moving forward without pressure

• Education woven into every session so you understand the why, not just the what

• Coordination with your trainer so everyone’s working from the same page

Either way, you’re getting the same personalized attention and the same high standard of care.

For Every Kind of Goal

Whether you’re working toward a personal record, trying to lose weight without losing your mind, managing a chronic condition, or simply want more energy for the life you’re already living — nutrition support at this level meets you where you are.

This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about having a plan that actually fits — and a credentialed expert helping you stick to it.

Nutrition Strategy Session

Work with a PhD-level Registered Dietitian for a comprehensive, evidence-based deep dive that goes beyond general nutrition guidance.

This session connects nutrition to key health and performance factors—including labs, medical history, metabolic health, long-term physiology, and the habits and patterns driving day-to-day decisions.

The goal is clarity: understanding what’s driving results, what needs to change, and how to move forward with a clear, personalized strategy.

Designed to provide meaningful insight, direction, and an actionable nutrition roadmap—not just generic recommendations.

Best for:
• A one-time deep dive
• Clients seeking a more advanced understanding of their nutrition and health
• The starting point for ongoing nutrition coaching

Tier 1- Nutrition Calibration

One nutrition coaching session per month focused on maintaining progress, improving consistency, and making intentional adjustments over time.

Best for: Self-directed clients who want periodic expert guidance and accountability

Tier 2- Nutrition Momentum

Twice-monthly nutrition coaching sessions designed to create consistent follow-up and steady momentum.

More frequent touchpoints allow for ongoing strategy refinement, troubleshooting challenges, and keeping progress moving forward.

Best for: Clients who want added structure, accountability, and support without weekly meetings.

Tier 3- Nutrition Optimization

Weekly nutrition coaching sessions designed for high-touch support and faster implementation of your plan.

Frequent sessions allow for ongoing adjustments, stronger consistency, deeper accountability, and closer guidance throughout the process.

Best for: Clients ready for a more intensive, structured, and hands-on approach.

Ready to add nutrition to your training?

meet Amy Porto, PhD, RDN, LDN

Amy Porto is a registered dietitian, professor, cycle instructor, and founder of Professor EatBetter, where she helps people cut through nutrition misinformation and make informed decisions about their health using evidence-based guidance that works in real life. As an expert in her field with over 25 years of experience, her approach blends credible research, practical application, and a healthy dose of humor to make nutrition feel less confusing and more achievable.

Dr. Porto serves as Director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics at Messiah University and was recognized as the Outstanding Dietetic Educator by the Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2019. In addition to her work in higher education, she is also a cycle instructor at NGX, where she brings the same energy, realism, and community-focused mindset to movement and fitness.

With a B.S. in Biochemistry and a PhD in Nutrition Science, Amy specializes in translating complex research into clear, actionable strategies people can realistically apply to their everyday lives. Her mission is to disrupt mainstream diet culture with real science, common sense, and a straightforward approach that challenges fear-based nutrition messaging and wellness trends built more on hype than evidence.

And while Amy has earned a lot of letters behind her name, she believes you shouldn’t need an advanced degree to decode food labels at the grocery store. Breaking down complex information about food and nutrition into digestible bite-sized pieces of information is her passion — plus, she loves a good pun. Whether she’s teaching in the classroom, leading a ride, working with clients, or creating online content, her goal remains the same: helping people cut through nutrition noise so they can focus on what actually matters and feel confident, informed, and empowered in building habits they can maintain in real life.
